I've always heard about the difficulty of catching HIV via oral sex and always felt rather safe about it… till the day I was diagnosed HIV+ and it could only have been due to oral sex, since I hadn't had anal without condom - not ever. So... never trust the odds... =/

AND if they are afraid to go to a gay bar or use an app I would be willing to bet if they found a chancre they would likely be afraid to go to the sexual health clinic or bring it up with their doctor. Once it healed and cleared up they probably wouldn't give it another thought as they went on spreading syphilis.
Does that stop me from using glory holes? Actually I am not a fan of the hole of glory but it doesn't stop me from cruising. The only thing that stops me from that is pornography.
