this is the one ive used to get just the song from youtube and its been the best one for me. just take the url from the video and convert it here and it will let u download the mp3 file for free.

That is certainly very easy to use but it does have a limit to the length of a clip/mp3 that it will convert.

As a Firefox add-on I use THIS. It gives a choice of which format you want to end up with.

ive tried most of those choices above but in all honestly nothing has surpassed 4K Video Downloader
it will download video and Audio in any format and its just paste link click and if you have the full version you can download playlists up to 1000 tracks or videos.

First, it is better using Firefox, then add addons, like DownThemAll! or Flashgot, video downloadhelper. They can help you download video and audio form youtube.
