      I wish to edit hd vids and only take out the scene that I like, but the software I'm using now could not accept hd vids. So, I need advice from you guys… please let me know the best video editing software to edit hd vids, and it would be much better if its free!  :hug:

        You could try to use Avidemux (handles other digital container formats than AVI, too).

        It is rather simple, free and allows to cut a movie, including stream copies (no additional losses), re-assemble parts and re-encode.

          My favorite soft to edit videos is Final Cut pro. It's very efficient but heavy. However, if you just want to cut the sence of the video you could try to use the transformation soft which transfer the video file type from the original to another. In the process of transformation you could cut the video. "Format Factory" is one of best transformation soft i used. You could give it a go.

            thanks guys, right now I have only tried out Avidemux, and it completed the job nicely. I would try other software later to see which one works the best….
