I like Rihanna. But, I just can't with this song. It's catchy and infectious, like all her music, but I am ready for it to run its course. Although, I have to admit that reading what the song/video are actually about goes a long way.

I wasn't feeling the song at all when I first heard it. I didn't like the video until I read what 36605domtop just posted. From that perspective "I ain't mad at her." The accountant fucked with her money and $35 Million or $20 Million (conflicting amounts) is a lot of money. Even getting $11 Million back, she was shortchanged and would be mad.
I still don't like the song LOL... but I like her expression of anger and the video. Really gangsta!!

I like that as well, outside of her joint references. I had no idea Rihanna did interludes. I've never bought a full album of hers - only singles that I liked.

Hmm,I mostly buy singles these days. If I find myself with 3 or so from an album, I might go ahead and pick up the album if I catch it on sale. The bar is much lower these days. I used to have to hear 5-6 singles I liked. But, that was also when albums had a certain theme or a vibe to them. Many albums these days are nothing more than a collection of unrelated singles.

Never really understood her popularity and apart from that "just gonna stand there and watch me burn" I can't really even tell most of her stuff apart. That being said, I do like this one and find myself even singing it to myself when there isn't music playing. I usually sing "Bitch better have some bitch" though.

While Rihanna's music is hit and miss with me, probably more hit than miss though, the one thing I love about her is her realness. She tells you what she thinks. She does not sugar coat things. If she likes you, cool. If she doesn't like you - she has no problems saying "fuck off". You like her music. Great. You hate her music, well fuck you.
