I've had a civil partnership for the last 9 years. On Tuesday morning, first thing, we are going to convert that to a full marriage.
Unless something devious happens, like another office opens earlier than normal office hours; 8:30am, my partner and I will be the first in Scotland to do this.

We had the 1st gay marriage physically in Scotland.
We were beat by a Scottish wedding in Australia, at the embassy.

Congrats to you. My partner and I have been together for 10 years. I call him my husband because as far as everyone knows, we might as well be married. We are just waiting for the day that Texas recognizes same-sex marriages.
