Fappydave, perhaps you don't understand something…

a person doesn't need your password... to have seen your "secret" passkey. All they would need to do is sit down at your computer, and open your torrent program for 10 seconds, and copy the tracker info on a GTRU torrent... and then they would be able to download anything they want, using YOUR (formerly) "secret private" passkey (it's in the tracker info, understand?)

At the time you wrote the original forum topic, I saw you downloading a 15GB collection... did you authorize that?

My prior advice stands... you should change your passkey if you see download activity in your account that you did not authorize, via:

"you need to change your passkey, on your profile page, here:
      https://www.gaytor.rent/my.php

check the box next to:      Reset passkey  [__]

Then scroll down, and click the "Submit Changes!" button.

      Note that:
Any active torrents must be downloaded again to continue leeching/seeding, if you change your passkey."

      Good luck, and take care,
      Pawpcorn

As far as I can see, Fappydave uses most of the time a seedbox and sometimes BitComet, supposedly from home.

        Now a question @__Fappydave__:

Have you activated in BitComet the "Torrent Exchange" feature?

I'm not 100% sure, but think that feature exchanges .torrent files, including private, with other BitComet users and that way leaks the passkey contained in the tracker announce URL. (That is why GayTorent.ru prohibits uploading of its torrents to other trackers, but asks to create a new torrent for that tracker)

You can as well look to your completed download history, if there are torrents you are sure not to have downloaded, it means your passkey leaked (there are other ways than Bitcomet's "Torrent Exchange") and you really should reset your passkey.

Interesting feature about that BitComet feature "Torrent Exchange" !

And a good write up on it here: http://wiki.bitcomet.com/torrent_exchange

If the information there is accurate, it does state: (in the second paragraph "How Does it Work?")

(Torrents marked as Private cannot be shared)

…and I know GTRU torrents are marked as "private", so member's secret passkeys should be protected, at least from that BitComet feature...

Are there (have there ever been reports of...) security issues with seedboxes... with private torrents being stolen?

It's mildly interesting to note that besides the seedbox... there have been many varieties of Torrent Client programs used...
...in the past 7 months: (not saying it's necessarily connected to the OP, but it caught my interest)
          2 Versions of BitComet
          2 Versions of BitTorrent
          2 Versions of Transmission, and
          3 Versions of uTorrent

BitComet, due to historic reasons*, has been banned by many private trackers. So I suspect it to have a function to send fake peer IDs (which contain the client code at its start) and client IDs.

I guess I'll need to install BitComet on two devices for testing.

            • Read on TorrentFreak the recent article about 10 years DHT and the links in that. Very informative.

Suddenly no gaytorrent.RU files will work for me.

It says tracker response error… 'bad ratio too many torrents your current limit is 2' (even though i am not downloading any others except that 1 i am trying).

Why is this new problem happening now?

It says RIGHT NOW i am downloading a file above the following file

Twinks Collection of Evan Parker from HELIX and GB have gone in the last 30 mins

BUT I AM NOT! STOP THat IP FROM USING THIS ACCOUNT!!!!

HOW can this be happening? This account is trashed now. Contact me mods about to prevent this.

I examined torrent history and i had downloaded the file that is currently being stolen using my ratio. I downloaded it 17 Jan.

I will definitely not be using Bitcomet from now on for this site. I will be using utorrent, should that cause me any problems (like leaking information)????

The passkey (nothing to do with password) is what identifies you to the tracker as being you and keeps track of your uploading and downloading. You don't really need to understand it but if you have any doubts (perhaps even if you haven't) you should follow Pawpcorn's advice above at reply #3

If you change your passkey (and it seems you should) then you will have to re-download any torrents you want to keep seeding or downloading. That DOES NOT MEAN you need to get the movie files again, just the small torrent file and use that instead of the suspect ones that may be causing the problem.

If you change your passkey it will mean the ones being used will no longer be valid whoever is using them

Just to say thanks to everyone who replied. Your advice solved the problem and you were more patient than perhaps my brusque posts deserved.

It's all good because now that i have been forced to use utorrent my upload speed has gone from 700 kb/s to 2.4 - not sure why but i ain't complaining!

                          Thanks.
