I think is some sort of generational fashion thing.
When I was little here in Mexico, whenever we went to the beach adult males would wear speedos, no matter if they were fit or sporting their beer bellies. Little kids used to wear speedos too, bermudas or swimming trunks seem a more recent thing in men's swimwear.
Europeans are much more in touch with feminine side.

I'm with peshay - nude beaches rock (with cock lol)… but if a non-nude beach, I go for banana hammocks: speedo style, especially if the beach has a gay/cruisey/sexual vibe. If VERY cruisey I'd also have on a cockring underneath... woof... If I were on some beach in like somewhere really fuckin scary like... say... Texas... THEN I might consider something slightly less revealing...

It depends on the day for me and what I decide to wear. As for other men, some can look as sexy as hell in a thong or Speedo and others should never go near them.

I wore a speedo for the first time recently on vacation. It was mixed European and Americans, I got a couple looks from the Americans but it was so nice and comfy.

Haha I'm from Texas but I would prefer a speedo. I'm pretty fit and I'd prefer them on fit guys. If there's a gut hanging over the waistline, put on some more clothes please. I know…a bit superficial but meh-
