ANZAC cookies

for those of you who are Brits or if you happen to be from the south..
this is a cookies named after the army that was sent to aid the Allies in WWI it stands for Australian and New Zealand army corps..
and when i was in New Zealand, we use to make this a lot and i just love it~!!

Oven temperature 180 degrees C (350 degrees F). Turn oven on to heat up
while making mixture.125g Plain Flour
150g Sugar
1 cup (250ml) of desicated coconut
1 Cup rolled oats (type used for making porridge!)
100g Butter
1 Tablespoon Golden Syrup (you can use honey but it is not as gooey!)
1/2(half) teaspoon od bicarbonate of soda
2 Tablespoons of Boiling water.Mix together the first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
Melt the butter and golden syrup together in a jug or bowl
Dissolve the Bicarbonate of soda in the boiling water and add to the
butter/golden syrup mix.
Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and add the liquid.
Mix in well.
Place large teaspoonfuls of the mixture on a greased tray (or put on baking
paper on a tray). Do not flatten mixture. Leave room for biscuits to spread
out.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes
Remove from oven and allow to cool a bit before taking them off tray. Cool
on baking rack.Can be frozen, and keep in tin well.(Except for people eating them)
