Jerk off is fun, but like everything has it limit. Like you said, "so many times", so I guess that your penis already reach its limit, and so if you push it off limit, sore or hurt feeling would happened.
I had it. Mostly when I kept edging for few hours and finished with ejaculation. When I tried to jerk off again or simply just get hard, sometimes it feel hurts and the penis shaft felt like sore.

Do you mean sore as in raw, or sore as in it hurt on the inside?? I have masturbated so many times in one day that at one point nothing would come out. An orgasm without any semen. And only if I don't use any lubrication have I ever had an issue of soreness around the head. Maybe TMI, but oh well.
