I feel bad for him, a stroke is no small thing, medically speaking. If I was him I would drop out of the race and just enjoy life. Typically, strokes are an indicator that you aren’t doing so well physiologically. Can’t say I’m surprised about a doctor politicking their statements – it's just the age we live in.

@kalayaan I can think of a few. lack of gender dysphoria, cost of medical procedures, fear of medical procedures, they don't mind their body not matching their gender, etc. Whether or not they're valid reasons is up to interpretation but IMO it mostly just boils down to not really needing to fit with the stereotypical/expected image of a woman.
