It is still quick and responsive.
When I come home from work, It is SO slow. The only difference is while I'm at work, I leave IE running for the maid. I don't like IE; I use Firefox, but the maid freaked when I left Firefox up instead and I went back to leaving it up. Is it IE that is slowing down the responsiveness?
It is so slow, it is easier to restart the computer that to get it to "wake up."

2. sometimes, when I restart the computer, the utorrent icon is not visible in the task bar notification area. The program is running. It is there in the task manager. If I click the icon in the start menu it opens, but the Notif. Area short cut is more convenient. Is there way to make the icon visible in the notification area?

(btw, the maid is not a paid servant. He uses the computer and gets rides to the grocery in exchange for vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, etc.)

Click the double up arrow at the left of the notification area, choose 'Customize' and check that uTorrent has 'show icon and notifications' option.

Then in uTorrent, Options, Preferences, UI Options choose the options you want in 'System Tray'

There's probably a lot of extensions in IE and that's what's causing it. Also, IE doesn't like to let go of it's history and bogs down the system with outdated webpages and whatnot until you restart it.

2. I have the same thing happen.
