However, if you upload more than one new own torrent, you must make sure to finish the initial upload (a complete copy) of the files within 24 hours after the upload.

There the number shown in your Profile is a suggestion. It is based on the highest average upload rate registered: 1 plus one more for each 20 KBytes average upload rate.

Downloading number of torrents are limited as per the Downloading Rules and depend on ratio, user status and upload.
