You can report the torrent, you can write to the helpdesk with the URL of the torrent and explain the issue, or you can shoot me a message either by DM or through the forum. Any one of those 3 methods will work.

I already got help from a mod who removed the screenshots from the torrent. It seems the best way to handle it at the moment is to report your own torrent and explain the issue under "Other"?

Yes... Throw me the URL of the torrent(s) in question and explain which pictures do not belong, and I would be more than happy to remove them for you.

Mostly only needed for movies and TV shows that I want in high quality. I use PNG for that. The website will convert your lossless screenshot to JPG when you upload it, and I don't know how well they compress it.

For porn you usually only need the thumbnails to get an idea of the content and which files to get.

I virtually never want them, becase they're someone else's format, and I create my own as needed. That then means I can't seed a torrent long term.

Well, actually I can because I use symlinks to the video files and keep the images with those symlinks, but it's a pain.

The exception, of course, is where a torrent contains a good many video files, and a separate thumbs directory allows members to download just that first, then selectively download what they want.

After your torrent is created, the per-torrent pic cap kicks in based on file count: 1 file → 10 pics, 2 → 15, 3-4 → 20, 5-7 → 25, 8-11 → 30, 12-16 → 35, 17-22 → 40, 23-29 → 45, 30+ → 50. The screenshots you choose now will fit under that ceiling once the torrent goes live.

Explains why the pictures seem so randomly sourced. It just happened to a second torrent of mine as well.

I also just read that the max limit for pictures has been increased. My torrent with the movie, subtitles, poster, and some screenshots allows 30 screenshots. That's an absurd number you have to reach with few files, IMO. I guess I'll have to omit screenshots from the torrent itself.

I think it would be better if the torrent uploader were either asked to approve added screenshots beforehand or at least able to delete later added screenshots outside the editing window. Otherwise, it could in this case mislead people about the contents of the torrent. Adding additional screenshots should be a service to the uploader that he can accept if it improves the torrent description.

I don't know why this person added those screenshots. It almost seems like they were randomly collected from a google image search. They definitely don't come from my upload, and I think they make the encode look like it's poor quality.

Edit: Thank you to the moderator team who solved this by deleting the screenshots after I filed a report on my own torrent.

My issue has always been that any added images are presented BEFORE the originals. So, having carefully uploaded my images in a particular order, so the most suitable one is first for people viewing in single image mode, and the others are ordered with similar care for when people view more than one image in a summary list or, indeed, in details mode, that's completely nullified by others adding random pix!

Added images need approval before being displayed, but how that approval can be suitably informed in every case is, I suspect, somewhat questionable.

Randomly uploaded pix just for seed points? Perhaps. There are certainly one or two members who seem "weird", even when compared to the rest of us, but it's such a small amount of points, it hardly seems worth the effort.
