<![CDATA[Do email notifications work?]]>In Profile Settings > Content Preferences, is "Notify me when I have received a PM" for email notifications? I have it enabled but I never get email notifications when I have messages on the site or replies in the forum.

I don't get them for reseed requests or freeleech notifications, so that might be the intended behaviour. I hope it is, because I don't want my email spammed with a dozen reseed emails every day.

I've certainly received email alerts that I have a PM. But I'm sure I've also had PMs that I've only become aware of when visiting the site.

It may perhaps be that PMs from other members trigger a message, whilst those from "system" - and maybe moderators? - don't. I'm pretty sure I've never received an email about a reseed request, for example. But then, I don't get a lot of non-system PMs, so probably not enough to mentally spot some kind of pattern.
