So, is it safe to continue using that service for this new account if I cant get my old account back? Would I be banned again?

To throw my 2 cents in, for other readers who might look at this.

I run 2 seedboxes, and sometimes I use my NAS and PC to do torrents here and elsewhere without a problem.

To add to this... We recently rolled out a new anti cheat system. If you have a fast connection and/or use a seedbox, it is possible that the system may flag your account for "fraud review".

If this happens, do not panic. You will not just automatically be banned, simply for having a fast connection or using a seedbox. The flag only prompts certain staff (like me) to take a look at what your torrent client is reporting to the tracker. We have a number of tools at our disposal to look things over and assess your situation. Especially if you have a seedbox, I recommend keeping it going for a few reasons, one of which is it actually helps us get the full picture of your situation.

If you haven't been doing anything to alter, tamper with, or otherwise creatively report bogus data to the tracker, it is generally obvious that your case is genuine, and we'll remove the flag from your account and clear you of any wrong doing. Generally speaking, it is usually very obvious as to what is fair/honest use, and what data is the result of "funny business".

Lastly, keep in mind that we are only human, so we are capable of making a mistake every once in a while. If we do make a decision on your case and you have not done anything wrong, you can always send us an email and explain your situation in as much detail as you can. We are always happy to have a second look at things, just in case your case happens to be the odd one for which we make a mistake due to human error. As long as you approach it in a civil and respectful manner, we will always have a look at your situation again, and generally tend to give you the benefit of the doubt if it is at least possible that what you're saying is true.

As I mentioned in the PM reply from your email inquiry, the use of a fast connection or even the use of a seedbox is NOT a violation of any site rules, as long as the data being reported by your torrent client to the tracker is honest, accurate, and genuine. In other words, as long as you're not doing any "funny business" to alter or otherwise modify the data being reported, then it is fair game.

Also, I will point out that after having had a look at your particular situation, it is at least possible that we made a mistake in your particular case, so I have reversed the ban and am willing to give you a fair chance to demonstrate that we made a mistake. After all, we're only human, so we can make mistakes too.

It is usually safe and the site doesn't prohibit the use seedboxes, you can try contacting a mod using the helpdesk and include the username for the account you're referring to, to see if it was fully automated or a deliberate decision, and if it's reversible once you prove you just used a regular seedbox.
