From what I’ve tested and researched thoroughly, I can share these verified insights:
First, the 15-second limit in SeeDance 2 stems from platform subscription restrictions, not technical limitations. Official paid tiers currently extend to 15 seconds of genuine, newly generated footage (not stretched/repeated frames) — 30–60 second options are mostly third-party services with potential stability/copyright risks.
Also, don’t count on local deployment to bypass time limits for SeeDance 2. The official model isn’t available for personal local use at all. Most so-called local versions are just third-party frontends that still connect to the cloud API, and they can’t break the official duration rules. Plus, real local running needs extremely high-end graphics cards that ordinary computers can’t handle, and there are also serious copyright risks.
For videos longer than 15 seconds, the most reliable method is to generate clips separately using Director Mode for consistency, then edit them together smoothly.
As for Viyou AI — I don’t recommend it for complex motion/human-focused videos. Its "longer duration" mostly relies on frame looping, speed adjustment, or basic frame interpolation, which often results in stiff movements, distorted body shapes, and blurry quality. Unlike SeeDance 2, it doesn’t create truly new, smooth motion for complex scenes. That said, Viyou can work decently for simple static scenes (e.g., landscapes, product displays) with minimal movement.
Regarding adult/sensual content restrictions: Viyou has the same strict policies as SeeDance 2 and other platforms. Both use multi-layered moderation (keyword blocking + AI detection + manual review), and neither will help bypass content rules — this is an industry-wide standard.
For better, longer, and more stable results, stick with SeeDance 2 and use the clip-splicing method. Reserve Viyou only for specific simple use cases if needed.
