I found a torrent of a hot ftm groupsex that i almost missed because the user decided to put "group sex" as the main while "trans" is placed last.
So imagine if all the good stuff of "trans" gets overlooked bc they have less coverage than the more popular one.
hell even if i clicked on the checkbox "trans" the torrent i want wasnt there at all.
So my suggestion if we could search genres in all (sub)categories

There have been countless threads on this.

Some things are always the main category, such as Theme Movies, TV, Books/Mags, etc.

Then we have secondary categories, such as Asian, Trans, Straight (Younger & Older), Bi, Scat, etc.

If none of the usual main categories apply, then the secondary ones move up to main.

Then let us have a choice to also search for secondary categories...

And if there has been countless threads, I think this one is just as pointless, whoever is in charge of making such changes will never see how the way it works now is simply dumb and inefficient.

it is understandable that the joker guy has a life and that this site is not his source of income so he can't dedicate his entire time to it, but to be honest sometimes if feels like he doesn't even use the site at all.

The idea of a "main category" is just stupid because, as you pointed, it is arbitrary. When you perform a category search, it will only look for main categories. If you want to include a specific subcategory you have to use the Browse page, and doing so will only search inside subcategories, so torrents with "trans" as main category will be ignored.

These are the kinds of problems you create by making everything an arbitrary choice and not accounting for people's decision making and search behaviors in the process.

It's such a simple solution, having main/sub categories have the same weight, in other words, if the user searches for a category the site will look in both main and sub... In fact it's so simple that if it's not done yet it's because they don't care.
