<![CDATA[Torrent downloading with tracker "http://tracker.gaytor.rent..." instead of "http://tracker.gaytorrent.tw..."]]>My torrents as of late are listing "http://tracker.gaytor.rent:...", which is unreachable. When I change the url to "http://tracker.gaytorrent.tw:...", the torrent is able to connect. How can I change this so that my downloads automatically start with the latter tracker url?

Maybe your DNS provider has blocked it?

Possible solutions:

  • Configure your PC (or router) to use Google DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4)
  • Add tracker.gaytor.rent to your hosts file (currently resolves to 77.247.179.57 for me): C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts on Windows, /etc/hosts on macOS / Linux (you'll need to open it as admin to edit it)
  • Use some kind of text-replace script to change the tracker domain in the .torrent file
