Besides, as much as the Russian invasion of Europe concerns me, I have a more urgent invasion here at home. My country will be conquered by Islam long before Russians set foot in it. I'm a patriot, I focus my efforts on the immediate threat that is on track to take over my country within my lifetime. As for WW3, I suppose the question of how best to avoid it is entirely subjective. Personally I believe that rewarding a nuclear-capable aggressor by letting them take territory unopposed, and teaching them that you will let them get away with anything if they threaten to use nukes, is a guaranteed pathway to WW3 in the future. I think the best way to avoid it is to draw a hard line against that unacceptable behaviour and teach them that you will never allow them to cross it. Don't even try to expand your borders, don't even try to threaten us with nukes, it's unacceptable and if you do there will be hell to pay. You cannot have peace if your enemy knows you're not willing to risk a war.
