That they should manipulate data down - then quietly revise up, later - is no surprise.

But another factor: Many crimes in USA simply go unreported.

Remember "George Floyd Riots", "Defund the Police", and left-wing prosecutors?

As police withdraw from certain areas, & as prosecutors no longer prosecute certain crimes or certain race(s), more & more crimes in USA are simply not reported into FBI data.

So, even when they revise up..... their numbers are still fake-low.
