I keep hitting my maximum number of simultaneously leeched torrents because I'm only downloading, eg. 10GB of a 100+GB collection. These partial downloads get stuck in my "Show leeching torrents" section on my profile, and eventually will keep new torrents from being downloaded due to site limitations.

For background, I'm using qBittorrent 4.5.5.

Is there any way to avoid this? I don't have a ton of storage space remaining, so downloading 100+GB collections just to get the few files I want doesn't seem like an elegant solution.

I have a tag made specifically for partial GT.ru torrents. Whenever I select only a few files from a torrent, I add this tag. Whenever I want to download something I can easily pause/resume all the torrents with this tag.

Some things to consider is that this pause/resume status can take a few minutes to be updated in the server, so the best thing to avoid being blocked from downloading, it is best to leave a few of those torrents permanently paused.

This will free from your download slot ...
Torrent must be 100% completed, for seeding ...
You can also free disk-space from deleting unwanted files you downloaded that you do not want
and make sure to delete it from recycle bin to free up disk space ...
