How else will the uploader and seeders know that someone is yearning to jack off to that dead torrent?

Usually when one is reuploaded. Most of those torrents seem to be from about 2016, so they're quite old.

When the original is dead, we often still get a duplicate report, but we delete the original because it's long ago dead and not able to be brought back.

May I infer that a dead torrent posted before the Great Crash of 2010 (or whenever it was) could be uploaded as a fresh torrent, even with the same file, without a "duplicate" penalty? There was some great stuff made in 2000-2010 that I think members would like---especially the [now defunct] SEVP studios outdoor bareback featuring twunks with full bushes.

I would of course scan torrents uploaded since then to prevent duplicates.
