<![CDATA[Snopes, in reversal, destroys Charlottesville hoax]]>So-called "fact checkers" need to be right sometimes - because they need credibility.

Remember the Charlottesville trouble of 2017?

Locals were divided about their town statues - which remembered Confederate generals.

Feds exploited that, to make trouble. Feds brought in their racist-type assets like Richard Spencer & Jason Kessler on one side, & their Antifa-type assets on other side. Ugliness & pain ensued. One guy was attacked in his car, then he flipped out & rammed people, killing 1 and injuring 35.

You had four groups.

  1. local (Charlottesville), pro-statue
  2. local (Charlottesville), anti-statue
  3. outside troublemaker, pro-statue
  4. outside troublemaker, anti-statue

President Trump, speaking of groups 1 and 2, said there were "very fine people on both sides" whereas he totally condemned groups 3 and 4, bad people on both sides.

President Trump condemned neo-Nazis & white supremacists by name - as he should. It's on video.

Libs chopped it up, spread a "cheapfake" video of Trump saying opposite. Libs have lied for years, about it.

But in 2024, Snopes has come around - Snopes decided to stop the lies.

Think Big Tech types.....the next layer of people beyond Vivek, like David Sachs....... they supported Dems all these years, because they're conventional & boring & saw no reason to question media, plus they are often Jewish libs..... BUT..... they are NOT Google-Woke libs....... "I read both sides" types..... lately they jump ship, to Trump.

They do see: Biden is bad for business, Dem lawfare is bad for business, Biden is bad for their little daughters or for Israel, etc.

They will briefly note Snopes' detonation of Charlottesville hoax, and go "Oh.... Oh.... one more little reason I'm right to switch".

The BBC loves to stealth edit things, to get the narrative out, then correct it after, knowing virtually no one will find out they changed the story.
