A woman was sitting on a park bench near the river when the attacker quietly approached her from behind, grabbed her shoulder, and stabbed her several times in the head and neck, according to police.

Although the woman managed to break free and run away, the man chased her and continued to stab her. He only stopped when passersby noticed the attack.
