Ron DeSantis just (last week I think) signed into law protections that will help deal with squatters.

One of the things will have the homeowner or agent be able to pay an eviction fee and an hourly rate to oversee the squatters evicted (both set by the law). There's a cap on how long the eviction can take, so the homeowner isn't price gouged.
