By the way, what was so great about Lincoln? The number of soldiers who died between 1861 and 1865, generally estimated at 620,000, is approximately equal to the total of American fatalities in the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Mexican War, the Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, and the Korean War, combined.
Also, Lincoln's wife was totally nuts (Lincoln sometimes had to forcibly drag her home because she was making a spectacle of herself in public).
Lincoln hated black people. As an attorney - he referred to black people as "niggers". Lincoln wanted to stop the farmers in the south from importing black people (note that Lincoln had no problem with people bringing in slaves from Ireland/Europe or China). Lincoln was working on sending all the black people back to Africa - which is how Liberia was created.

Not at all @jaroonn. I'm just a little surprised to see an uptown citizen stoop to the trailer park level of behavior they claim us to be at. Some would call that hypocrisy.
Sparring aside... I know this corner of GT is dominated by a few conservative-leaning people, but I would honestly love to have people with opposing views chime in. Echo chambers suck and I bet you could offer some really interesting perspectives. So if you ever see me saying something you think is dumb and you feel like telling me why... I'd be delighted. Maybe I'll walk away with something I hadn't thought of before.

@Rapsey-0 To be precise: All I do is show up & say what I know. Numerically I "dominate" ie. post a lot - am sure you meant that. But that's on others who don't show up / don't post.
Some don't, because they're disinterested or busy - Great. No problem. Will happen to me, any day.
But others, ie. certain libs who would show more, if they perceived a "safe space" where they get no resistance.... don't show - just because they HAAAaaaaate to get resistance or have their bubbles popped.
Those folks, on occasion may stop by to piss & shit.
