We're even starting to see a lot of this kind of thing here in Canada now too. It seems newcomers to Canada are being welcomed with a bunch of opportunities not afforded to the people who were born and raised here for generations. Also, a lot more companies are becoming all about the diversity hire to the point where in many workplaces, if you're white and born here, you ARE the diversity now.

I am in the process of looking for a job, and have been following up, and so far every job I have been interviewed for has been filled by a new to Canada immigrant. Don't get me wrong... I'm all for giving opportunities to newcomers, but where they're from should have ZERO impact on their chances of getting hired.
