In the exchange, the reporter first tried to claim that "aid is not coming."

The woman painted a much different picture: "All aid goes down (underground). The aid does not reach the nation and the entire people."

Visibly taken aback, the Al Jazeera reporter tried to refute the claim, saying that "only a little" aid has been sent to Gaza and "it is distributed" amongst civilians, adding "so they [Hamas terrorists] say."

The woman shook her finger at the reporter, clearly frustrated.

"Everything goes to their (Hamas) houses," she said. "They take it, they will shoot me and do whatever they want to me, Hamas."

As I am not in Gaza, not sure what to make of it.

Possibilities I see:

  • It's false, like typical NYT fake news

  • It's false, like typical "lib wishful thinking"

  • It's true, like "Warlords with power of life & death over you naturally can extort 'prestige' from you or extort your 'support'"

  • It's true, like "Gazans want to kill Jooooooz more than anything, even more than their own lives"

Maybe some of each?
