She was married to Jimmy for 77 years on her passing.

I believe they were both admitted to hospice care earlier this year in their home, with Jimmy Carter still helping as much as he could with Rosalynn's dementia. Now that she's dead, I expect to read that Jimmy has past any day now. Usually when one elderly spouse goes, the other one goes shortly afterward.

He is still eligible because he only served one term. He is a lot more fit to be president than Biden is.
