Eight-year-olds cannot get puberty blockers "on their own." It's a decision made with parents and doctors. Furthermore, they do not cause permanent change. In fact, that is why they have been used for more than 30 years. They pause puberty so that the patient has time to make up their mind and doesn't have to go through changes that might cause severe psychological trauma. Hormones and such are only given to older patients once it has been determined that is what they want.
Medicine/Psychology cannot be summed up in a stupid meme. If you want to educate yourself, you can read this. Provided reading an article from CNN won't burn your retinas

You need to look at the cases that are working their way through the courts around the Western world. What you are claiming is the utopian lie of your beloved "true journalism".
Look through these forums. We've discussed things that liberals have not been fully honest about.
One of the clinics (can't remember it's name, but it's a famous sex change clinic) lied and said they didn't do sex changes on minors, despite their website saying they did. Once caught, they edited their website, but only raised the age 2 or 3 years, not realizing that even that age was still minors.
The Danish study intentionally left out negative cases. We know this thanks to whistleblowers. In one of the cases, the person died because, thanks to puberty blockers, they had a micro penis so they had to part of the colon to give him a "vagina". He died from Ecoli.
AGAIN, if a person's brain is not fully developed until 25, then they should have to wait until 25 to to make such a life-altering decision.
Regardless of the liberal word game bullshit, a life altering thing is a life altering thing. You don't get to pick and choose if you want to be taken seriously. If the brain is no fully developed until 25, then it's not developed until 25. You don't get to pick and choose to suit your agenda.
People commit suicide for all kinds of reasons. The UK has had white kids commit suicide because they were tormented by non-whites and the schools did fuck all to protect them, because of the color and/or religion of their abusers. You are just as guilty when you keep saying "poor, poor white people" when bad things happen to us.

Last year that LA female (assuming her gender) politician was against stiffening the punishment for stealing catalytic converters because it would criminalize a certain community. It's not just Jamal Newton, but countless violent criminals that you keep setting free to prey on society.
