<![CDATA[All freeleech torrents are now all 1 week old or over]]>I have noticed that recently freeleech torrents all now show as being at least one week old. They used to appear as hours and days. Is this a configuration or moderation change?

Since the beginning, torrents need to be at least 7 days old to make them freeleech. When you would see supposedly newer torrents on freeleech, it was because a mod would freeleech it, then promote it. Since there is no promotion of torrents anymore, this prevents this illusion from being possible any longer.

What you are seeing now is torrents that have been freeleeched by users using their seedpoints, or by mods after a member has asked them if they could freeleech a large torrent.

In the past you would see freeleeched torrents with a date that is the same day it was freeleeched, but that is because there was a policy if something was reported as a duplicate the mods would delete the duplicate and promote the original to recycled status. GT no longer does that. You will notice you no longer see the ♺ icon in torrent titles. They did away with the practice.
