I would respect you more if you admitted that you like knives, machetes and acid.

The point is, despite the virtually total ban on guns in the UK, they still happen.

Likewise, knife crimes, and later machete crimes, in the UK have skyrocketed since the gun ban.

Now that the UK has banned guns, clearly the next 2 steps are to ban knives and machetes.

Once those are banned, then we ban those people from countries that are bringing their criminal ways into the UK.

It's not white people having machete fights in the UK and Australia.

When in fact the USA's gun crime figures are considerably higher. What you are doing is skirting the facts and figures to try and make a triangle piece fit into a circular hole.

USA mass shootings... 130 so far this year.... UK... 7 since Dumblane. So if gun control does not work why is the USA on 130 mass shootings this year alone.

Lets compare that to the UK this year so its actually 130 vs 1. If we scale the UK up to the USA population it should be 26.

So to be clear, banning guns is not the answer. Now, that being said, a lot of the gun violence problems that you seem to have in the United States do seem to be with legal guns. Tightening laws to restrict them (such as requiring a psych evaluation to get one) but not necessarily ban them outright will help to go a long way, however it will never solve all of the issues. It will just make them shift more towards illegal guns and illegal gun owners, which obviously the law has done nothing to prevent.

Also to be clear, I am saying that there is a difference between gun control and gun prohibition. With proper gun control, the number of issues that you're having down there in the USA would dramatically drop, however would never go away completely. Gun prohibition on the other hand never has and never will do anything to curb the problem.

After the UK gun ban, knife crime skyrocketed. Now in places with certain ethnicand racial groups, machetes crimes are becoming rampant. From the news videos from Australia, it seems that machete crimes are the norm there too.

US anti-gun lobby combines murder and suicide figures, whereas the UK counts them separately. The US anti-gun lobby is dishonest in how the treat them, based on their agenda.

Also, in the US, the CDC admits that legal gun ownership saves lives.

In fact in the 10 years after guns were banned gun crime dramatically fell, and is still at a much much lower level than it was when they were legal.

Gun crimes exist, in the UK, Australia, and the rest that have bans. Knife crime rose after the gun ban in the UK, now we are to machetes mostly due to certain groups that have flooded the UK and Australia.
