"From a broad public-health standpoint, at the population level, masks work at the margins — maybe 10 percent. But for an individual who religiously wears a mask, a well-fitted KN95 or N95, it's not at the margin. It really does work."

For context: Few people have, or ever had, "a well-fitted N95". Your everyday crappy mask isn't one.

Also, Fauci's 10% figure may be exaggerated - recent studies put everyday crappy-mask effectiveness at stopping covid, at maybe 5%.

And widespread mask use has been tied to poor social & language development in children, rises in stillbirths or other medical problems, etc.

Still, even allowing Fauci to exaggerate the effectiveness to 10%... 10% is nothing great, and those who still believe in Holy Masks of St. Fauci (note his Freudian-slip use of "religious") may wish to reflect on it.
