Baker is charged with three felonies and two misdemeanors. The felony charges are for kidnapping, aggravated assault disfigure, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, police said. Misdemeanor charges levied against Baker are battery (Family Violence Act) and cruelty to children, third degree.

Baker, a Democrat, ran several unsuccessful political bids in Georgia since 2008.
