It should look like:

Your torrent client programme either doesn't connect to the tracker or doesn't get a message back. So the first step is to assure the URL is a correct one.

If you use µTorrent/BitTorrent, can you check the connectivity please:

As soon as it gets to zero, the status is "updating", then back to offline again.

This means you must have had connections to the tracker to get the peer IPs …

Can you give the exact wording of the tracker error message (it is in the lower µTorrent window under the tracker tab, behind the tracker announce URL).

A particularity of our tracker is that the "Scrape" function is switched off. That generates a corresponding message on all Stopped or Queued torrents "Scrape not supported", which simply means the tracker does not send peer IP information on those.

However, while in that case µTorrent/BitTorrent starts torrents after a while to get peer information, Vuze/Azureus doesn't with it's out of the box setting. Vuze users may try these settinge:

Tools > Options > Queue -> Seeding > First Priority > A share ratio under [1:1], set the rest to ignore and uncheck Torrents with 0 Peers

and

Tools > Options > Queue > Seeding > Ignore Rules > uncheck Ignore torrents with 0 peers

EDIT: I installed BitTorrent 7.2, and it made no difference. Also the Vuze (azurus) client, AND uTorrent clients… All three show gtru (and ONLY gtru) trackers as "offline". I've been fiddling with this for almost 2 weeks now. The only solution I've found so far is to just use other, lesser sites.
