But there are things that ARE protected by DMCA - such as Televisions Shows broadcast on legitimate, commercial, broadcasting networks.
I've seen things such as some incarnations of Star Trek, Golden Girls, Ru Paul's Drag Race, and now Gameboys

In the past, I have gotten crucified by Youtube for posting content from "The Simpsons", "South Park", "Saturday Night Live", etc. The worst case was when I posted one PG rated photo of mega douche former actor Kirk Cameron.. and my youtube account was permanently terminated for doing that!

Alphabet (owner of Google and YouTube) loses money on YouTube. That makes it a good reason to sell it off.

Alphabet won't sell YouTube because they want to control the flow of information.
