At least we got to know from him that a continuation about this will be coming next year and that means they are still giving it a chance or a last hurrah.

It seems that his entire premise was that Son of Kal-El failed because it had "woke" politics in it, as opposed to classic comic books. Um, frankly, anyone who thinks that comics haven't been progressive since at least the 1970's wasn't really paying attention. Comic book writers, and I know and or have met quite a few, old and young, are generally progressive thinkers. From introducing black superheroes like Black Panther, having the X-Men be a stand-in for nearly all oppressed, marginalized peoples (gays, blacks, Latinos, etc.), to Watchmen being anti-Nixon to V for Vendetta being against Thatcherism.....I could go on.

Comics have always been pushing a progressive agenda. That's why they were attacked by traditional, conservative forces, e.g., Congressional investigations after the publication of "Seduction of the Innocent," or the establishment of the Comics Code Authority.

Fuck! So this is why but hey it's coming back again next year!!!! You guys better buy it for support.

Second, I think those comics are aimed at a younger audience, so I don't see them doing a dildo storyline. I don't think the Comics Code Authority, or what's left of it, would approve. I don't think they've done anything more than kissing in the books.
