Well, we all know the FBI was the driving force behind the Gov Whitmer kidnapping plot. This came out in the trials of the supposed kidnapping plotters.

The indictments for both the kidnapping and Jan 6 have a lot of "unindicted co-conspirators". In the kidnapping case, they were all either FBI agents or informants who were allowed, by the DOJ, to do what the FBI legally could not.

FBI indeed was the driving force behind the "January 6" non-events (total nothingburgers apart from the sad case of Ashli Babbitt alone).
