<![CDATA[Do chat/messages on the forums notify on the main site (and vice versa)?]]>Just wanted to know if receiving a chat in the forums also sends out a notification on a user's end should they only ever be active/checking on the main site.

Same for the other way, if getting a PM on the main site give a user a notification should they only ever be active on the forums.

Or is that too much of a hassle? I got a PM on the torrent site but I can't reply as my account is still new.

I sent out a response via the forum chat but the user hasn't gone on the forums for years, despite being active on the torrent site. Just a heads up to them from the mods that I'm only able to respond via the forums would be wonderful

The forums and torrent site have separate messaging systems.
