A few times when I've been waiting for a print job to finish, I've searched out likely targets for the one star troll and given them a five star rating. That way when the jerk sees one of them, and wants to piss on it, all he can do is drop a "five" to a "three." The poor thing must feel so frustrated.

Hopefully this person will stop doing this and should get banned ...

Labelling more than 20 torrent posts straight with 1-star requires a lot of effort. Hence, it is something that definitely can not be considered an opinion without hatred. Also, the Star Rating feature is not used for opinions because one has to download the file first before one could rate it in regards to its content (obviously broken and this is why this feature is being used this way in which this troll is rating post after post without even downloading them). If one has a negative opinion about a torrent or what is obviously here a specific category involving multiple listings, that person will simply not bother to download it nor even rate it. That person will just ignore it just like any other porn that a person is not interested in.

This has been discussed in the forums on several occasions and we had a unanimous opinion about this. Unfortunately, this can not be attended to at the moment as per the admins.

I simply answered a member's question which is not intended for you. I will give you the same answer as the one I gave you in the forums several months ago. I am not here to argue with anyone especially the likes of you. Comments are moderated and I already had conversations with mods and admins and other members who are aware of this problem.

On another note, here is another of my replies to you that you may have simply ignored because you keep telling me what to do!

I could do that. I would love to do that. The thing is, by the time the series gets completed members would already have found a way to get it somewhere else. Which I say is not good for Gaytor as a site. As you may have already known from the forums, this is not the only tracker I provide my uploads. This is just the secondary site wherein I upload my torrents here a few days after from the primary. Now, there is a reason for that. I already experimented the other way around but releases gets leaked between sites by others one way or another. I do not of course have any control over that. They are free to do so. That's how things work in torrent sites. so from time to time as long as I have the time I upload titles here and there at the same time. I sometimes also provide exclusive titles here. Also, I do coordinate uploads with other members too.

I only get an average of 15 or so downloads per torrent for new releases here and that can take a week to reach that number but on the primary site, an upload would reach 200 to 300 already within a day. 500 to 800 or so as it matures in a month. The demand for BL is big, you just don't see it here. It may be because of what happened before when GayTor lose a large number of users from a certain geographical area. My uploads for Western titles here do get quite popular but they are few. Asian countries seem to be releasing more gay-centered titles more than Western nations does. I really do hope that they catch up. Also, as we've all know about Western gay / LGBTQ titles, they tend to be more on the serious side and a lot ends with bad or unwanted endings. Gay life should not be. Gay life should be happy. That's what we are, against all the odds we encounter in our lives.

Also, if you notice -- a lot of uploads in this section are not even gay-centered / centric. The ones that shows naked / nude men only -- nothing about them is gay and they certainly do not belong to the rules but we do not report them because there are some of us who wants to see them, hence there is a demand so they stay. I have taken a look at past years upload trend and statistics for this category by it self and there would be days and weeks that there wouldn't even be any uploads at all, even when the dead torrents radio button has been ticked.

Losing the opportunity to upload an up-to-date episodic series is a lost for the site, members will certainly look somewhere else just to get what they want and I certainly would like to say that GayTor get to gain more members and this is one of the reasons why I do this here or else I wouldn't care to bother due to the low download counts I get here.

Don't worry, cinemacapman. This message is not just towards you but in general for those who may thought of the same way or another. I do took note of a member even complaining that they are having a hard time looking for titles they want due to the large number of uploads they do not like and they even requested that BLs should have it own category listing. I would say that my releases here are 100% compliant of laid rules and categorizing BLs as a separate type would be discriminative or communistic in nature or is that member implying that uploads be categorized by country or continent? :closedeyes:

• Those ratings do not seem to bear any correlation to the quality of said torrent.
• Those ratings could be seen as insulting to the uploader, but regardless of the rater's intention, the efforts of uploaders are to be appreciated.

Well... until you came that is replying on this thread seemingly looking for an argument which everyone here did not. I have known you for the past months since I've been active here and you're pretty okay to me. BUT this totally changed my perspective of you, but of course you are going to counter that with "you are entitled to your own opinion". As others here may know, I do not participate in such things as beefing with other members. As a viewer of arguments, yes I enjoy that but participating in one... I'd rather invest my time on something else.

As per your sentences, it sounded like you have an affinity to this person that you are so against to call a "troll" which everyone knows is one of the site's problems as users are able to rate an upload without the member even downloading the torrent first which should not be.

I forgot to mention...What do the drag shows have to do with this person's ratings on your uploads? Nothing, in fact. You make it sound as though that's some sort of selective discrimination. It's not. Again, that's just what he thinks of those particular type of "Boys Love" shows. It has nothing to do with any of the drag show uploads.

Two things:

1. How does it "ruin the presentation"? Nothing is "ruined" simply because someone has given their opinion. Your upload is still there, as is the description and screenshots/pics...and people are still downloading your torrents.
   Nothing is "ruined".
2. I think you should stop referring to whoever this person is as a "troll". They are not...they are simply giving their own entitled opinion (whatever their reason is regarding these Boys Love series), and it's just a bit misguided and somewhat rude to be referring to them as a "troll".

I am not defending nor condemning their opinion ratings, I am just trying to reason this out sensibly and logically, and to try to get you to see what I mean regarding this.

I do not want to monopolize the category as I know there's a lot that I can not provide and not much time for anything else. I don't want others to feel that they don't have the chance. It gives me a smile though that my uploads on another GT also ends up being uploaded here which is perfectly fine with me.

Exactly...the world is indeed diverse, which means people are entitled to their own opinion of something. As far as relating to the comments you get on your torrents, that person is entitled to their opinion, regardless of the reason(s) why.

As someone said in a previous reply, all that really matters is how many downloads/hits you get on your torrents. Peoples' opinions and the "votes" don't matter.

Yes, sexualization happens during puberty. I have been wanking since I was 10 and had my early experiences when I was 12 and had my only son at the age of 15. Get a load of that for a sexualization process. I grew up freely and I am happy for that. I stood on my own at an early age. No one in my family told me what and not what to be and do.

It is however a very effective strategy and very difficult to fight. So effective that it has created an internalised homophobia in the gay community so that adults are afraid of having anything at all to do with young teens, let alone admit that sexualisation happens by puberty, not my some miraculous event that occurs at midnight on the person's 18th, 16th, 15th, 14th birthday (depending on where they happen to live) and certainly not by seeing a pride flag or a drag queen.

I'm guessing you're getting one stars because of that.

It's just that recently I noticed all those 1 stars on all my latest post that got me wondering as I don't usually get stars at all. It is so true what you @raphjd @drekkin and @eobox91103 have mentioned. My uploads will get the attraction regardless of the star rating and that members here will comment if there is something they did not like.
