If you are speaking of the different atmospheres of videos made in the États-Unis, I think the differences come from professional quality and social class/status. Here are my thoughts:

• The professional porn industry in the US is centered mostly in the south part of California, where there are beaches, mountains, but above all studio quality lighting, cameras, and money to pay actors and production staff. There is also some professional production in other parts of the country.

• Smaller studios, which could be just one person with a camera and a a light, might operate in parts of the US where costs are lower and actors are cheaper. These can be videos with "redneck" characters, defined as more rural, less educated, and without the polish or looks needed to enter the more professional porn industry. This is often found in what the US calls "the South," but is really the South East as you have said. These videos can have appeal even among upper classes/more educated people.

These difference don't apply as much to home-made videos, such as an 18-year-old guy making a video of himself se branler. Sometimes the background of his room or other location can suggest social class or economic status.
