Boys Love Series

@nix54 My office is near the ADB too. If your friend is an expat here and owns land, that's great. The local living expense is quite low that one would be rich by by just receiving a standard U.S. monthly pension.
I was actually gunning for the guy that Billkin had a kissed with in IPYTM. He's quite handsome.
You have a nice week too.

@spence8585 Addicted (Heroin Series) is a Boys Love web series from Mainland China. It was also the very last true Boys Love series that got released from that country. It was banned. Homosexuality is illegal by that country's laws. The main 2 actors were banned by their government to communicate with each other nor be seen together. There was an event or a concert were both of them were present but they can not be on stage together at the same time. I can't seem to find the video on YouTube anymore.
Here's the shortest video I could find that provides some insight to what happened and yes, the BL series shot them to stardom. The series is available here for download. I was able to finish season 2 from a translated read available online. Timmy Xu heartbreakingly is now married to the dismay of fans.
You have to watch I Told Sunset About You.
Available here: https://www.gaytor.rent/details.php?id=1057f499bde405a7a2177c8b561c4706f859333e3e9f15f2
This series won many awards and still no Boys Love series would compare to it. Prepare yourself for the drama.
Yes, this is highly recommended.

@Rotron Thank you! I will watch I Told Sunset and the other 2 related, in order. I just realized the version I already had only supplied Portuguese subtitles

so I appreciate the re-upload! -
@spence8585 Enjoy. The large files are worth it. A lot of Boys Love fans are looking for these higher resolution versions but can't jut tell them to get over here for security purposes.

You just made my day. Thank you!

Babeeeeeeee!
Thank you for continuing to upload these. I really appreciate it, and I try to 5-star as many as I possibly can to offset/upset the one-star bandito.
I ended up liking Gameboys far more than I thought I might, it was really touching in the end, if we ignore the bit with the weird plastic hugging/kissing contraption that had me slightly terrified and hooting with laughter.
-
@frogprons You are most welcome. I can not think of another show which had the word "baby" used too that extent in their dialogue / script.
Gameboys had a unique setup which the pandemic brought that a lot of shows especially from Thailand at that time refused to acknowledge or integrate. I am happy that you enjoyed it. The genre is picking up track and as you can see there are a lot of upcoming titles already announced and that is just at the first quarter of this year. Hoping that there would be more coming from the Western side and help this sub-category get the attention it deserve and be available primetime in more households and eventually help us be more accepted and understood.

Upcoming series: Tin Tem Jai
Tin has always been secretly in love with Phi Park, Aunt Phavinee's son, who owns a neighbourhood bakery. Park's a simple guy that you can ask whatever you want. But when he's asked out on a date... The answer is, “I'm going to kick you!”

I know that I have not been too much a fan of Filipino BLs but there are some that I really like.
Hello Stranger. The series is available here in the TV section and part 2 is a movie in the movie section which I have not watched yet.

There is also In Between (Between Hello and Goodbye) (2020), which is not available here yet. A sequel has been announced but there has been no updates for quite some time.

Oh, Mando! Kokoy from Gameboys is partnered with a macho guy who is gay and out in real life.

There's this gorgeous naked guy there which I still can't find who the actor is. Let me know if you do.

Ben x Jim and BXJ Forever.

My Day (2020) has my favourite couple and has the best kiss for me in a Boys Love series. Miko here has a jack-off video. Hehe.

Gaya sa Pelikula (2020) (Like In The Movies)

@spence8585 @nix54 I just completed Prison Playbook a while ago. Damn those comedic moments were hilarious. The rectal camera scene on the first episode got my first LOLs. All the prison guards wanted to see a baseball superstar's anus. I enjoyed the series. I just didn't like what they did to Looney when he got out of prison; he was immediately a victim of a bust operation and it's just right out of prison? I think that was a weak point in the whole series but I was happy that Jailbird had a happy ending. The Demon Captain is a crush of mine. He was actually asked by media in a live interview if he is gay. The bromance scenes in this series were so intentional, I like it. Thank you so much for this. I enjoyed the series.

@nix54 By the way... I just saw this posted.

@Rotron Glad you enjoyed Prison Playbook. when somebody mentioned it I realised I had kept coming across the show for some reason when I searched MyDramaList. I thought that maybe I should have a look at it and as you say there is a lot of different themes in the series which make it worth watching.

@Rotron TADA TADA TADA - shouldn't have problems remembering that one. Just finished Love Bill (I had put it on hold while watching the end of Reborn Rich and then found myself hooked on the Golden Spoon). So sad but then I suppose it was not a story that could ever have a satisfactory happy ending. Though It was heavily signalled by ongoing reference to Thien's scripts always having sad endings. Strange how this simple show really grabbed me. A lot of new BL coming out soon. Any current recommendations for this week's viewing?
