Once you've been around a little while and you're really only looking at the newer stuff on a regular basis, it becomes much easier to maintain a good ratio.

Once again if you are concern about your ratio warning do the ff suggestions ... If you have high bandwidth @ least seed several hrs would help ...

Your torrent app connects you to your peers and allows you to get pieces of the file or files from them. Similarly, as you get these pieces, your torrent app allows others to connect to you and pick up those pieces from you.

The only reason that any files are available to everyone here is that we all choose to share, to allow others to download from us just as we are downloading from them.

If you download a file and then immediately delete the torrent file from your app, you are taking but not giving. If everyone did that, there would be little or no content here.

Basically, after you have downloaded a file, you need to keep the torrent active in your torrent app so that others can download it from you. You should be aiming at an overall ratio of 1.00 (100%), meaning that you are giving back just as much as you are taking. For every GB you download from others here, you should be letting others download a GB from you.

When your ratio gets really low, there are a few ways you can correct this:

1. As John notes above, take advantage of the FreeLeech torrents. Those files don't count against your download numbers but do count for your upload numbers, so they will help your ratio improve.

2. When you have been around longer, you'll pick up more bonus points. You can exchange these for upload numbers (https://www.gaytor.rent/getbonus.php).

3. Donate to the site (https://www.gaytor.rent/donate.php). Right now, the site is running a special offer, so that if you donate just 10 euros, you can get 35GB added to your upload total.

4. Reactivate some of the files you've already downloaded by reloading the torrent file into your torrent app and pointing it at the file you previously downloaded. Your progress bar should go to 100% and that file will be put into seeding mode, making it available to others.

5. Upload new content here. Look around in your collection to see if you have files that aren't already being shared here. If so, go ahead and upload them.

It can be really frustrating at times, since downloading usually works so much faster than uploading does. And if you download an older file, you may be the only one who is downloading it, meaning that you can't give back, even if you want to. The solution is to give back more on some files so that when you can't give back that much on other files, you're still okay overall.

For the record, I currently have about 70 torrents sitting in my app right now, all of which are finished downloading and most of which I'm still waiting to give back 100% on.
