The teachers, regardless of race, gender, etc, have the same pay scale.

From the stuff I read/saw on this, mentoring is part of being a senior teacher, to help out the newer teachers. Until now, there was no extra pay for mentoring and that is still true for white teachers.

I know this article is about mentoring extra pay but it is really about segregation.
