Yes, Virginia - this is me @bi4smooth - making a PRO-Trump statement!

Today (pretty much, as they promised), the FDA formally approved the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for all people over the age of 12. (source)
Like dominoes...:

• The US Armed Forces has now officially required all troops to get vaccinated... "that's an order"
• Multiple US City governments have already changed their polities to require vaccination because it is now FDA approved
• Multiple US Corporations have already announced policy changes to require proof of vaccination of their employees now that it is fully FDA approved

But it doesn't stop there... this is a WORLD-WIDE conspiracy, after all:

• Canada recently announced that COVID-19 vaccinations are required for all federal employees, as well as air, train, and cruise passengers! (Unvaccinated US cruise passengers better not leave the ship in a Canadian port! They may not be allowed back onboard!)
• Fiji (that bastion of Trump haters) has forced unvaccinated government workers to take leave (paid if they have earned it, otherwise unpaid). If they are still unvaccinated come November, they will be fired!
• Indonesia has made COVID-19 vaccines mandatory - individual fines for non-compliance start at 5-million Rupiah (about US$350)... but public flogging is also an option (no, really!) (What did you expect from this autocratic country?)
• In Italy, all healthcare workers, including pharmacists and paramedics, be vaccinated or be suspended indefinitely without pay.

This is a very partial list, but with the FDA full approval now behind us, this list will grow quickly...

Mind you: all of these requirements have certain exemptions... but those exemptions have to come from a licensed physician (medical Dr), not a politician (and not an ophthalmologist in KY! - although that may change if some new variant of COVID-19 starts causing cataracts! LOL)

School Boards in TX and FL continue to rebel against their idiotic Governors' absurd overreach in banning mask-mandates state-wide.

Mind you: I'm not so much in favor of mask mandates as I am in favor of letting each district decide on its own what its needs are!
Schools in rural areas with light COVID spread shouldn't be held to the same standards as urban districts ON-FIRE with COVID!
A basic tenet of real Conservatism is to put control in the hands of the most-local authority as it makes sense to do so... and state-wide control over mask mandates ain't that! Federal control would be even worse, but so-far Biden hasn't proposed national mask mandates.).

• In TX, one school board completely side-stepped their Governor's anti-mandate edict by simply putting mask-wearing into the school dress-code (ingenious!)
• In both FL and TX, School Boards are already processing changes to attendance requirements to include COVID-19 vaccination (along with Chicken Pox, MMR, and the handful of other vaccines already required).
• In TX, school superintendents are issuing mask mandates without board approval because the idiot who wrote the TX only provided penalties to school board members who violated the Governor's order
• In FL, at least 4 - including the 2 largest - school districts have openly defied their Gov's order prohibiting mask mandates, and threatening to withhold their pay if they vote otherwise... one Miami-Dade county SB member said it clearly: if the choice is a paycheck or to protect our kid's health, I'll forego the money!

And to the moron who keeps positing that TB is more deadly than COVID - it took me a while to locate the data, but let's go:

For the State of Florida:

• There were just 413 incidents of TB in all of 2020 (source)
• There were 21,000+ new cases of COVID-9 on average EACH DAY for the past week (e.g.: 7-day average) (source)
• Those 413 incidents of TB in Florida in 2020 resulted in 34 deaths (source)
• There were nearly 240 deaths EACH DAY for the past week (e.g.: 7-day average) (source) from COVID-19

For the country (USA):

• There were 7163 cases of TB in the US for the entire year of 2020 (see above: we get 3-times that number of new COVID-19 cases per day in Florida alone!) (source)
  NOTE: It should be noted that 7163 is a sharp decline from 2019's 8909 - largely attributed to COVID-19: both in the reported numbers being skewed due to similar symptoms, but even more so to the use of masks - which also protect against TB spread. But the overall trend in the US has been downward since a spike in the early 1990s
• There have been 37.5 million new cases and 625 thousand deaths (source) in these United States from COVID-19... in the past 30 days

So, as has been reported less formally here before, there is no reasonable comparison to the rates of infection or death from TB and COVID-19... and now it is backed up by hard data.

I will grant you: if you believe in the theory of there being a world-wide conspiracy to inflate the numbers of COVID-19 - a conspiracy that includes IRAN in cahoots with ISRAEL, North and South Korea, Russia and the US and China, -- even Dogtown, MO and Los Gatos (translation: The Cats), CA -- that are all (independently) conspiring to get you to wear a 50-cent mask and take a vaccine made by one of some 25+ manufacturers (world-wide)...
