Thoughts?]]></title><description><![CDATA[<p dir="auto">The latest mainstream, Awards-hungry gay flick. It's reviewing pretty well but, interestingly, it seems writer-director Harry Mcqueen isn't gay and in interviews he's expressed sentiments to the effect of "love transcends sexuality." Which makes me apprehensive that the choice to even feature a same-sex couple might be little more than some outwardly progressive branding. Perhaps I'm being too cynical though.<br />
Colin Firth taking up the gay mantle again since <em>A Single Man</em>. Though is Stanley Tucci not a weird casting choice (I mostly associate him those dreadful <em>Transformers</em> movies)?<br />
Who here has seen it? Any thoughts?</p>
