I agree - the current in thing in gay porn is guys with tattoos, piercings, and facial hair... I'm not a fan of any of those! I'm being drawn into more Latin and Asian porn as a result (masking should be illegal LOL)

Covid causes delays in production, not poor writing, or poor directing. LOLOL

It is just me, or are good movies getting very scarce? This site gets the movies that are made, but they don't seem to make them like they used to! I used to download about a dozen titles per day and keep at least half of them. Now I download only about 4 titles per day, and don't keep any of them. I suppose it has something to do with so many directors / studios dying out, such as Masters, William Higgins, John Travis

Are we talking about porn? Or non-porn? Well, I guess it doesn't really matter at this point, 'cause I have to agree with your concerning both of those areas. I've mentioned this before on various forums. Finding good gay movies are incredibly harder than trying to find good str8 movie. In terms of gay movies, either the script is horrendous, the acting sucks, or the actors are just too camp for my tastes, or the movie/tv shows are just too stereotypical and no originality. Gays are not a monolithic people!

These days, I don't even like taking movie advice from other gays anymore, I almost always end up being disappointing. I used to think that documentaries was the way to go, but even then they tend to be too depressing. However, I do embrace the truth in those documentaries tho.

Great anctor and a story line. I don't normally like love stories, but that was a good movie. The quality of old VHS movies were not that bad at the time, but anything stored on VHS degrades over time until all you have left is blobs of color and glare.. kind of like old photos in an album that turn yellow and fade over time. The VHS tapes stretch a tiny bit every time they are run through the machine, and the magnetic particles lose their integrity. CD's and DVD's also degrade over time.

I should make porn movies. I can think of a LOT of excellent story lines. There is one studio that makes gay movies with storylines.. BUT that studio doesn't put nearly enough SEX into their movies. I would be happy with an hour long movie with a script that led up to just ONE good sex scene at the end. I read an explanation of the early days of porn that was written by William Higgins. He said that the only reason they added a script and music to gay films was to make them legally defined as "erotic art" instead of "porn". Technically, "porn" is not legal, but that law has never been enforced to any significant extent. How many movies can you think of that had that SAME soundtrack of "They call me.. call me the BAD boy.. they always call me.. call me the BAD boy.. the BAD BOY! BAD BOY! They always call me.. call me that BAAAAAAD Boy!" In fact, I think the name of the guy who composed that was "Costello Presley"

But it's the times that changed it, in the past they were sold on VHS or DVD, so they were long, with multiple scenes and they had story going on, nowadays because of the amount of content, and the way porn is sold and distributed, everything is shorter and mostly just the sex.

Plus nowadays onlyfans and other sites just made it worse, there is so much bad amateur content, and they do take away from the big studios I think.

But one thing that I do enjoy nowadays is the quality of the videos, it's always hard watching older stuff because of how low quality they are . But yeah, I do wish they would go back to filming some porn like in the past.

I agree with you... Lately I have been mainly watching older movies because the new ones don't seem to be attractive to me... don't know if it's only me or it is something generalized.
