These can be put in your criminal record without you ever knowing about it, until you try to get a job, loan, welfare, insurance, etc, etc, etc.

As the wording clearly says, what you were accused of isn't a crime and since it was not criminal, no investigation takes place.

Simply liking a joke on the internet can cause this, as we found out from a legal case.

If you get upset that a person, who happened to not be white, jumped the queue, they could claim it was due to them not being white.

There does not need to be a victim.  The police can "complain" for the imaginary victim.
