<![CDATA[Torrent Download Delay/Stalling]]>Troubleshooting Question
After I download some torrents, it registers as "Stalled" for what seems to be a random period of time - IE, it shows 0 seeds and 0 peers, and doesn't start. Sometimes, the torrent will become active in a couple of hours, or sometimes it takes a few days/weeks to become active.
Once its active, the seeds/peers appear and the torrent works as expected.

Am I missing something/do I need to do something?

Some observations
I am currently above, but close to the minimum ratio (currently have about 5GB Download Buffer).
I was briefly below the minimum ratio in the past week
I'm well below the limit for downloading torrent files (3 in the past 24 hours, limit is 20)
This happens for torrents regardless of whether it is currently freeleech or not.
According to the torrent page, the torrents are active with plenty of seeds.

The Example Torrent is appearing as stalled on my torrent client, but is showing 68 seeds / 4 peers on the actual page and is currently freeleech.

Once I add a torrent (freeleech one), it might download the first 3-4 seconds but then it stops and stays "Stalled". I did read the forum post you mentioned but I'm not sure what I could do as I feel it doesn't apply 100% to my scenario. Looking at my profile I am only leeching one torrent, does this not mean I should be able to download it?

For anyone with this problem in the future - you can only have a certain number of torrents actively downloading at any given time.

If you've downloaded selected parts of a torrent only and are seeding it (IE, you've technically not got the 'complete' torrent even if you have got the selected parts you wanted), it will count toward your limit of 'active torrents' - even if your client displays it as complete.

To fix this, either download the torrent in full (after which it won't count toward your limit), or stop seeding the torrent.
