Tried disabling all the addons and removing all the coockies without any luck. The only thing that I now of is that I allowed a security update before that, so something has to do with that. The only way I can now download using Chrome is to go into Incognito mode, visit the site, log in and then I can download. Not sure yet why..

I turned each extension off, one-by-one, then reloaded the page where the download had failed.
The problem was resolved when I disabled Flash Video Downloader

I've also seen some similar issues when I enable FoxClocks.  Some frames appear blank, which can be a problem on sites where download links are displayed in a separate frame.

By this, I mean that, like all software, they sometimes patch things that break other things.  If you are into gaming, you will know that Bethesda is infamous for this.  Every time they patch something, they break several other things.

We can only play keep up or wait for them to fix it on their own.

What's bizarre is that I have the exact opposite issue. I've used Chrome with no issue for years and only Firefox is working. I hope it's a temporary issue, it's a bit of a pain since most of my account passwords are synced with my google account…
